Spatial Dimension wins World Bank funded Mining Cadastre Project in Mauritania

Spatial Dimension, a Trimble company, is pleased to announce that it has recently signed a contract with the Mauritanian Ministry of Economy and Finance to modernise the computerized mining cadastre system within the Ministry of Petroleum, Energy and Mines (MPEM)

This contract is key component of the Public Sector Governance Project (PGSP) that the Mauritania is implementing with support from the World Bank.

The PGSP is designed to help strengthen the effective management of the mining sector by focusing on issues of mining governance, transparency, oversight and efficiency, and environmental and socio-economic development.

The new mining cadastre system will manage and control all transactions that take place during the life cycle of the mining title. These include the initial application, the granting of the title, annual royalty payments, the follow-up of the necessary reports, the transfer of rights and the final termination of the title.
