May 2009 Spatial Dimension is pleased to announce that it was been awarded a sub-contract to design and implement a modern rules based Mining Cadastre Information Management System (MCIMS) within the Liberian Ministry of Lands, Mines & Energy (MLME). The contract was signed between Spatial Dimension and IBI International and will see Spatial Dimension’s FlexiCadastre web-based mineral rights management solution being implemented within the new Cadastre Bureau in Monrovia.

The project is funded through USAID's Liberia Improved Budget and Assets Management Project where IBI International are the prime contractors. The project will provide reliable information about the status and precise location of all mineral rights in the country. The system will record and provide reliable information about the status, stage and precise location of exploration and mining rights as well as protected areas and special needs areas in the country.
